Dr. Shiela Harris

Dr Shiela Harris is a multitalented woman who has a vital deliverance ministry for women. She has written 14 books, including two 365 Daily Book books for women and one for Pastors, Ministers & Staff. All can be found on Amazon with her most recent release, "The Role of Women in Ministry." Pastor Harris has enjoyed giving back to the community as a volunteer writer for an Antelope Valley Community Newspaper, the "Antelope Valley Sentinel," teaching Bible Study for the Long Beach Mission – Lydia House and the Intercommunity Care Center of Long Beach. In addition, she partnered with Springs of Hope Grief Care Center with Pastor Juanita Matthews in Long Beach, Ca, as a grief facilitator for a season.
For 15 years, Pastor Harris and her late husband, Pastor Ted, presented the Young People's Gospel Music & Instructional Workshop annually for ages 12 -25. Nightly Classes included: choir decorum, vocal training, the fundamentals and rudiments of music, and other related subjects. The week ended with a 100-voice choir presenting a musical sharing new music written by independent artists and musicians. Pastor Harris, not only composed music for this workshop but other workshops as well.
She received her Associate Degree from East Los Angeles College, Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Dominguez Hills, Cal., graduating (Cum Laude). To further equip her for ministry, she attended the Southern California School of Ministry - First Church of God Inglewood, graduating Cum Laude, and was one of the commencement speakers.
Pastors find her administrative, teaching, and staff training skills to bless the Body of Christ. She has also occasionally served as a praise and worship leader. A few of her popular seminar teachings are from her books: "Surviving the Loss of a Loved One: (How to Get through the Grieving Process)," Powerful Praise – Worthy Worship," and "How to Be Free From Excess Baggage," to name a few.
Pastor Shiela is an ordained Elder and Executive Pastor, having served with Grace Unlimited Ministries (Pastors Melvin & April Jackson) and The Word Center, Prophet Henry & Co-Pastor Alicia Pigee. Between the two, she served 20-plus years, helping to steer the ministries in a spirit of excellence.
Pastor Harris was also on staff with The Worship Center, Long Beach, Ca, Bishop Sheridan McDaniel, Dr. Russel & Keisha Lewis, and Pastor W. Terrell Snead for approximately six years. Currently, she writes and assists pastors upon their request with staff and administrative training. She obtained and Honorary Doctrate Degree in Ministry October, 2023.
Pastor Shiela's favorite scripture is Proverbs 5:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
